FastTrack Multipurpose PCB
Features and Benefits Summary:
- A solution to the management of “guided” creative electronics teaching and learning
- High value and at a competitive and affordable price for schools
- Requires minimum of components, making stocking cheaper and easier.
- True sequential systems approach makes project circuits easier to follow and fault-find, as components are logically positioned and labelled.
- Higher success rate when soldering as pads/tracks are generous in area and well-spaced.
- Supplied ready drilled, tinned + legend + solder resist using quality FR4 board (allows reuse too).
- Designed circuits may be modelled and tested first, without soldering, using the identical FastTrack modelling module – Please see lower down for details.
Specification:
- PCB: FR4 board approximately (60 x 40) mm
- Pre drilled, tinned + legend +solder resist layer
- Strain relief holes for switch and battery
- Pre-drilled mounting holes used to locate board in project housings or stack with PIC project board
- All circuits use common 9v supply
(Lower Current Zinc Carbide Battery 9v recommended – not supplied)
- Name box allows user-identification of circuit boards to avoid mix-ups when working on or storing class projects
FastTrack Modelling Module
The FastTrack modelling module is a high quality prototyping system. It is identical in layout to the FastTrack pcb above and allows learners to quickly and easily model and test their projects before making. Circuit components are simply pushed into its quality low resistance, gold sprung connectors. By offering opportunities for experimenting and getting to know components, this helps to ensure greater success when going on to make soldered take-home projects. (Please note the module is supplied without the battery or components shown). | £39 per hand-assembled item (1+) Code: FTMM Please add quantity at checkout. |
Features and Benefits:
- Supplied as ready-to-use module
- Battery powered for portability.
- Cheaper and more sustainable as the electronic components can be reused.
- Saves project costs when operating with lower budgets.
- Prototyping is quick and easy and achieved by simply pushing components into the gold-plated low resistance connectors.
- Similar to the way breadboard units function, but easier to follow due to its logical layout – The input, process, output stages are sequential.
- Learners can develop ideas, recognise & remedy common problems (such as the misplacing of components) with greater ease as de-soldering is not necessary.
Specification:
- Case Material: Moulded in tough black ABS for classroom use.
- Dimensions: 90 x 60 x 20 mm
- PCB: High quality FR4 Board Approx (60 x 40) mm
- Gold plated push-in connectors makes assembly quick and reliable.
(max wire diameter 1mm) - Toggle SPST Switch + Wires + 1K Resistor, Power Connector – PP3 battery clip included
(Lower Current Zinc Carbide Battery 9v recommended – not supplied) - Integral Storage Tray (45 x 30 x 15) keeps components being worked on safely together: Moulded in black ABS.
